And now for something completly
different...
To those who don't know me, "I
hate retail" and this in and of itself
is a problem because I am really
quite good at selling stuff
(especially stuff I like and endorse).
I have worked in retail for nearly 23
years and recently got caught up
in a situation of being at a
management level, demoted, and
subsequently terminated all at the
whim of an individual who had
entirely too much control over my
life and the welfare of my family.
I'm bett'n those who have been in
this position, reading this,know
exactly of what I speak. I never
want someone to have that kinda
control over me again.
My recent job search has left me in
a less than ideal state as what with
the economy and the dismal job
market the prospects just don't
look good and once again, retail is
not an option (if I can avoid it).
My 23 years in the firearms
industry has however left me well
educated and familiar with a
number of skill sets and I came to
the realization that this might be a
great oppurtunity to strike out on
my own and hopefully provide for
my family as well as keep me off
the streets.
