| Things we probably ought to talk about; Recently, (much to my dismay) my primary resource for the qualifier (shoot) went out of business and forced me to look elsewhere for a place. In the process of looking I became acutely aware that it is going to become harder and harder to find a place to provide this service and I anticipate it will only get worse as time goes by. I have made the new location (Garland Public Shooting Range) as they are well established and I found to be friendly, unlike some of the receptions I have received from other establishments. That's the good news, the bad however involves the direct correlation to distance and the depressing cost of fuel. All these factors have forced me to reset my prices to account for the change. It is important to realize what you get from me in relation to the cost involved. I do not "skimp" on my classes and am constantly trying to improve them as a work in progress so to speak. I try to provide all the necessary services in one day and generally it takes a significant change in the weather to stop a shoot from happening. I help you with preparing your paperwork for the final mailing and provide support services at no extra cost if you need help with your packet if it comes back for any reason. The class is mandated by the state to be a MINIMUM of 10 hours for a new class and 4 hours MINIMUM for the renewal and although I am aware of the time I do not work in a box and will do all I can to provide you with the best class for your money. If more time is required to achieve this then that is what is done and feel to do otherwise is a risk I am not willing to take for you or for me. Finally, this is what I truly enjoy and if it were possible this is what I would do as a living, but alas it does not seem to have any dependable or predictable cycle that would support that endeavor. Know when I spend the day with you it is normally my day off and that todays economy has forced my hand and this helps make ends meet. Thanks, Dave |

of the class I have of late managed with classes as small as one, to
possibly five to accommodate a "shoot " on the same day as the
class. This makes for a long day (about 12 hours total) but it is all
done, and you should be ready to send in your paperwork at that

Classes" have been in far better demand than I
ever imagined. I am truly glad to be back and
those who have affirmed that fact leave me
humbled and feeling that I made the right
choice. Much thanks to the Bullet Trap and all
of the staff who welcomed me back and made
me feel at home (again).

| A Word on the Cheap Class; I am aware that my prices are a little more than others and feel in my heart that they are worth it for what I have to offer. This class is no joke and the subject matter is of a serious gravity and should be viewed in that light. I have bore witness to more than my share of CHL holders who have little grasp of the law much less the dire need for a real education and found themselves in the company of an "Instructor" who could not have cared less about anything more than a fast class and the shortest route to a students money.
